Jimmy Nguyen was born in Saigon, but was  grown up in America. Jimmy Nguyen graduated from college at the age of  19 and received degrees in law at 23. 2 years ago, Jimmy Nguyen has been  ranked as one of the 500 best lawyers in America. 
Currently, Jimmy is a partner in the law  firm of Davis Wright Tremaine LLP, where he handles a range of  entertainment, new media, intellectual property, advertising and  technology matters. He is a prominent thought leader for issues  involving the Internet, social media, and other new media technologies.  Jimmy’s clients have included such leading companies as BBC Worldwide  Americas; CBS Films; the Hot Topic retail chain; Kia Motors America; the  LEGO Group; and Sony Computer Entertainment America. With a life  history of excelling early, Jimmy graduated college at age 19 and law  school at age 22. At only age 36, he was named by Lawdragon as one of  the 500 Leading Lawyers in America. In 2010, the Advocate magazine named  Jimmy to its “Forty under 40” list of leading LGBT persons in America.
Outside his legal practice, Jimmy uses  his life journey as an immigrant to the United States, an Asian  American, and an openly gay man to be a strong advocate for equal rights  and diversity. He serves on the Board of Directors for Equality  California and the California Minority Counsel Program. To support  performance arts, he co-founded the American Readers Theater Association  and does pro bono legal work for the Ma-Yi Theater Company in New York  City.
